Computers have revolutionised our lives in such a fashion that
pursuing a career in this field is the first option any young
mind would consider. The burgeoning industry has already had
enormous repercussions on sectors like Business, Education,
Entertainment Services, Government, Healthcare, Industry and
Transportation.
Master in Computer Applications (MCA) is a
course that an individual may pursue before foraying into the
world of Information Technology. The course encompasses topics
like Data Communication and Networks, Database Design and
Management, Management Information Systems, Modelling and
Simulation Techniques, Operating Systems, Structure of
Programming Languages, etc.
Unlike
examinations like IIT-JEE and CAT, there is no prescribed single
entrance examination that many premier institutes follow.
Institutes conduct exclusive entrance examinations to offer
admission. Candidates can apply to many universities in the same
year and eventually opt for the best among those offered.
